Walter Scott Williams, known professionally as Scotty ATL, is an American artist. He is a rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is also an actor and an entrepreneur.

Early Life and Music Beginnings

Scotty ATL's parents helped him discover his love for hip-hop music. His mother often played music by the artist 2Pac at home. As he grew older, Scotty became very serious about music. He worked with a friend named King J, who was also a rapper.

Scotty set up a recording studio in his family's basement. There, he recorded music CDs and sold them at school.

After finishing Redan High School in Atlanta, Scotty went to Savannah State University. He played basketball there. However, he soon decided to focus more on music. He had formed a group in high school called Monopoly Fleet. While in college, they released an album called 2339 Underground Boyz. Scotty and Monopoly Fleet even signed a record deal after their album came out. They traveled between Atlanta and Savannah to record new music. But the deal did not work out. After this, Scotty moved back to Atlanta. He spent less time on music for a while and focused on other things.

Music Career and Business

Scotty ATL started his own music label called Cool Club. Through Cool Club, he released several music projects. These included In the Meantime, The Jiffy Cornbread Experience, F.A.I.T.H. (Forever Atlanta in the Heart), In the Meantime 2, and SPAGHETTI Junction.

In 2014, Scotty ATL teamed up with the Grammy-nominated artist B.o.B. He joined B.o.B.'s music label, No Genre. Scotty then went on a tour across the country called the Cool Club Tour. The next year, he was featured on a remix of Curren$y's song "Cloud IX." After that, he released a 16-song project called The Cooligan. This mixtape featured other artists like Curren$y, CyHi The Prynce, and B.o.B.

Scotty ATL's talent caught the attention of B.o.B., who was the president of the No Genre label. In 2015, Scotty was invited to perform with B.o.B. at the 20th anniversary of Hot 107.9's birthday bash. He also performed on the Next to Blow stage that same day. Later in 2015, he joined the No Genre Tour. He also opened for Big K.R.I.T. on a tour that visited 29 cities. Scotty ATL also appeared on the TV show 106 & Park, where he performed a freestyle rap.

Scotty ATL created the No Handouts Tour. This tour featured both well-known and new rappers in many cities across the southeastern United States. Besides music, Scotty ATL also owns a jewelry business in Atlanta called Grillz by Scotty. This business makes custom gold mouthpieces for rappers. Some of his clients include Trinidad James, Rich Homie Quan, and Killer Mike.
