Exploring Scousburgh and Its Surroundings
Scousburgh is part of an area called Dunrossness. A "parish" is like a local district or area. From Scousburgh, a road goes up a hill. This road leads to a place where an army base used to be. This old base was called Mossy Hill.
The Hilltop Connection
The road from Scousburgh also connects to Scousburgh Hill. On this hill, there were once large dishes. These dishes were used for sending signals very far away. They are now old and no longer used. From the top of Scousburgh Hill, another road leads down. This road connects to the A970, which is a main road on the east side of the hill.
