Seaman is a small village located in Adams County, Ohio, United States. It is part of Scott Township. In 2020, about 973 people lived there.
The village is easy to reach by road. Ohio State Route 247 goes right through Seaman. It is also very close to Ohio State Route 32, which is a big four-lane highway. This highway, called the Appalachian Highway, connects Seaman to the city of Cincinnati. There is a traffic light where Routes 32 and 247 meet.
Seaman has important services for its residents. Students attend North Adams High School. The village is also served by the Adams County/Ohio Valley School District. For reading and learning, there is the North Adams Public Library. This library is a branch of the Adams County Public Library. Seaman is also home to a modern hospital, the Adams County Regional Medical Center.

History of Seaman Village
Seaman was founded in 1888. This happened when a railroad line was built to that spot. The railroad was originally called the Cincinnati & Eastern Railroad. Today, it is known as the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad (CCET). The village got its name from a local family, the Seaman family, who lived in the area.

Adams County Regional Medical Center
Seaman is home to the Adams County Regional Medical Center. This hospital is located at 230 Medical Center Drive. It used to be called Adams County Hospital and was in West Union. However, it was renamed and moved to its current location in Seaman in 2007.
