Sean James Pronger (born November 30, 1972) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He grew up in Dryden, Ontario, and played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1995 to 2004. Sean played for several teams during his career. These teams include the Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Vancouver Canucks. He was first chosen by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1991 NHL Draft. In his NHL career, he played 260 regular-season games. He scored 23 goals and made 36 assists, totaling 59 points. Sean is also the older brother of another famous hockey player, Chris Pronger. Their mother, Eila Pronger, is from Pori, Finland.

Early Life and College Hockey

Sean Pronger was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He grew up loving ice hockey. Before joining the professional leagues, Sean played college hockey. He attended Bowling Green State University. There, he played for the Bowling Green Falcons men's ice hockey team. He played for four seasons from 1990 to 1994.

Playing in the NHL

Sean Pronger made his debut in the National Hockey League in 1995. He played as a centre, which is a key position in hockey. Over his career, he played for seven different NHL teams.
