Sebastian James Clovis was born on September 1, 1979. He is a Canadian TV star and a former professional football player. Sebastian played as a free safety for the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League. He helped them win the Grey Cup championship in 2006. Today, he is famous for hosting home renovation shows on HGTV. You might have seen him on Tackle My Reno, Save My Reno, Home to Win, or Gut Job.

Early Life and Family
Sebastian Clovis was born in London, England. When he was six years old, his family moved to Canada. He grew up in the east end of Toronto.
His family home was where he first learned about carpentry and building things. Sebastian is the oldest of five children. His brother, Tristan Clovis, also played in the Canadian Football League. Tristan played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
High School Sports
Sebastian went to Neil McNeil High School, an all-boys Catholic school. He was a very good athlete there. He competed in track and field and played football. After school, he continued to play football with the Scarborough Thunder Football Club.
In his last year of high school, he attended Senator O'Connor College School. He played on the senior boys' football team there.
College Football Career
Sebastian Clovis received a scholarship to Mississippi State University. Later, he moved to Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. At Saint Mary's, he played football for their team, the Huskies.
Professional Football Career
The BC Lions picked Sebastian Clovis in the 2005 CFL draft. In 2005, he had a serious injury, tearing his ACL. This kept him from playing that season.
Grey Cup Champion
Sebastian made a strong comeback in 2006. He played in all 18 games for the Lions. That year, the team won the 2006 Grey Cup championship.
In 2007, he got another season-ending injury. He tore his ACL again and had to recover from surgery. After his second knee surgery, he was traded to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. However, he soon moved to the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the same season. He finished his CFL playing career with the Roughriders. His nickname was "The Missile."
TV Renovation Career
After he stopped playing football, Sebastian Clovis trained to become a construction contractor. He started his TV career in 2014. He became the host of a show called Tackle My Reno.
He later became a co-host for the spin-off series Save My Reno. In April 2022, he launched his newest show, Gut Job. This was his fifth show for HGTV Canada.
