Sebastian James Clovis, born on September 1, 1979, is a well-known Canadian TV host. He used to be a professional football player in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Sebastian played as a free safety for the BC Lions, helping them win the Grey Cup in 2006. Today, he is famous for hosting home renovation shows on HGTV, like Tackle My Reno, Save My Reno, Home to Win, and Gut Job.

Early Life and Sports
Sebastian Clovis was born in London, England. When he was six years old, his family moved to Canada. He grew up in the east end of Toronto. In his family home, he first learned about carpentry and building things.
Sebastian is the oldest of five children. His brother, Tristan Clovis, also played in the Canadian Football League.
High School Athletics
Clovis went to Neil McNeil High School, an all-boys Catholic school. He was a very good athlete there. He competed in both track and field and football. After school, he continued to play football with the Scarborough Thunder Football Club. In his last year of high school, he attended Senator O'Connor College School. There, he played on the senior boys' football team.
College Football Career
Sebastian Clovis earned a scholarship to Mississippi State University. Later, he moved to Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. At Saint Mary's, he played for their football team, the Huskies.
Professional Football Career
The BC Lions picked Sebastian Clovis in the 2005 CFL draft. Sadly, he got a serious injury, a torn ACL, in the 2005 season. This injury kept him from playing.
Grey Cup Champion
After his injury, Sebastian worked hard to recover. He came back strong in 2006. He played in all 18 games for the BC Lions. That year, the Lions won the 2006 Grey Cup championship!
Injuries and Trades
In the middle of the 2007 season, Sebastian got another season-ending injury. He tore his ACL again and had to go through surgery and recovery for a second time. After his knee surgery, he was traded to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. However, he soon moved to the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the same season. He finished his CFL playing career with the Roughriders.
Sebastian's nickname was "The Missile" because of how he played.
TV and Renovation Career
After he stopped playing football, Sebastian Clovis trained to become a construction contractor. He used his building skills in a new way.
Hosting Home Shows
In 2014, Sebastian started his TV career as the host of Tackle My Reno. He then became a co-host for the show's spin-off, Save My Reno. As of April 2022, he launched his newest show, Gut Job. This is his fifth show for HGTV Canada, showing off his passion for home renovations.
