Sebastiano's is a special place in Portland, Oregon. It is a Sicilian delicatessen, bakery, and market. You can find it in the Montavilla neighborhood of Portland.
About Sebastiano's
Sebastiano's is a deli and bakery in southeast Portland. It offers many tasty Sicilian foods. You can find delicious pizzas and sandwiches there. They also have meats and cheeses.
What They Serve
The restaurant serves many Italian dishes. These include arancini (fried rice balls) and focaccia bread. They also make muffuletta sandwiches. For dessert, you can try cannoli or cuccidati cookies. They also have brownies, cookies, and olive oil cake. You might even find granita, a refreshing icy treat.
The market section sells Italian cooking items. These include farro, olive oil, pesto, and different sauces.
How It Started
Daniel and Elise Gold started Sebastiano's. They were inspired by a trip to Sicily. The restaurant opened on June 2, 2020. It is in a building that used to be another kitchen.
In 2021, the Golds added a food cart. It is called Aperitivo Sebastiano. This cart operates in the deli's parking lot on weekends. Sebastiano's has also been a seller at the local Thursdays on the Plaza market.
For Thanksgiving in 2021, Sebastiano's worked with another restaurant, Dimo's Apizza. They offered a special takeout dinner together.
