Sedella is a small, charming town and a local government area (called a municipality) in the Málaga province of southern Spain. It's part of the Andalusia region, which is an "autonomous community" – meaning it has its own government and laws, similar to a state.
Sedella is located about 54 kilometers (around 33 miles) from the big city of Málaga, which is the capital of the province. It's also 23 kilometers (about 14 miles) from Vélez-Málaga and 8 kilometers (about 5 miles) from Canillas de Aceituno. Just north of the village, you'll find the beautiful Sierras of Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park.

Discover Sedella: A Spanish Village
Sedella is home to about 600 people. The people who live there are called Sedellanos. The town has a special protector, or "Patron Saint," named St. Andrew the Apostle.
History and Culture
The village church in Sedella has a bell tower that is very old, dating back to the time of the Moors. The Moors were people from North Africa who lived in Spain many centuries ago. You can still see other signs of their history in Sedella, as it was one of the last places they held onto.
Nature and Visitor Center
Sedella is also an important spot for the Sierras of Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park. It has a special Visitor Centre where you can learn all about the nature and wildlife in the park. It's a great place to start if you want to explore the beautiful mountains and landscapes nearby.
Local Celebrations
Every summer, Sedella celebrates its annual fiesta (a big party or festival). This celebration honors the Virgin Mary of Esperanza, which means "Hope." It's a time for the community to come together and enjoy music, food, and fun!
