Serdar Ortaç was born in Istanbul, a big city in Turkey. His father's family came from the Crimean Tatars in Cide, Kastamonu. His mother's family has Turkish and Kurdish roots.
In 2014, Serdar Ortaç married Chloe Loughnan, who is an Irish model. Chloe appeared in one of his music videos. She was also a judge on a popular Turkish fashion TV show called Bu Tarz Benim. Serdar and Chloe ended their marriage in August 2019.
