About Sergio Fantoni
Sergio Fantoni was born in Rome, Italy. His father, Cesare Fantoni, was also an actor. Sergio started his acting career in the late 1940s. One of his first movie roles was in the 1949 film Anthony of Padua, where he acted alongside his father.
Working in Hollywood
Sergio Fantoni didn't just work in Italy. He also appeared in many international movies. In the 1960s, he acted in several Hollywood films. A notable role was in the 1965 war movie Von Ryan's Express, where he starred with Frank Sinatra.
In 1960, he played the bad guy, Haman, in Esther and the King. This movie featured Joan Collins and Richard Egan. He also worked in the UK, appearing in the TV series The Manageress with actress Cherie Lunghi.
