Sergio Fernando Tejada Galindo (born April 16, 1980) is a Peruvian sociologist and politician. He served as a Congressman for Lima from 2011 to 2016. A Congressman is a person who represents a specific area in the country's main law-making group.
About Sergio Tejada
Sergio Tejada was born in the Miraflores area of Lima, Peru, on April 16, 1980. His father, David Tejada Pardo, was a high-level government official in health. His grandfather, David Tejada de Rivero, was also a Minister of Health.
He went to Héctor de Cárdenas School for his early studies. Later, he studied at the Argentine-Bolivian School in Bolivia. From 1999 to 2005, he studied Sociology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Sociology is the study of how people live together in groups and societies.
His Political Journey
Sergio Tejada was involved with the Peruvian Nationalist Party from 2008 to 2010. In August 2010, he became the leader for youth in a political group called Peru Wins.
In the elections held on April 10, 2011, he ran to become a Congressman for Lima. He received many votes and was chosen to be a Congressman. He started his job on July 26, 2011, and served until 2016.
While in Congress, he led a special group called the Mega-Commission. This group looked into the second government of former president Alan García.
At the end of 2019, Sergio Tejada wrote a book. It is called The Kingdom of Impunity. Revelations of the Megacommission and the fall of Alan García. The book shares what he learned from leading the Mega-Commission.
