About Set in Stone
The Story's Mystery
The story follows a young artist named Samuel Godwin. He loves art, but after his father passes away, Samuel has to leave art school. He needs to find a job quickly. A rich businessman, Ernest Farrow, is looking for an art tutor. He needs someone to teach his two daughters. Samuel applies for the job and gets it.
Samuel moves into Mr. Farrow's large house called Fourwinds. This new home gives him time to work on his own art. Soon, Samuel starts to like Marianne, Mr. Farrow's younger daughter. But some things about Marianne are strange. She often walks around the grounds at night. Her sister, Juliana, is always quiet and seems sad. Samuel also learns about the previous art tutor. This tutor was a very good sculptor. He left Fourwinds before he could finish his best artwork. Samuel wonders why he left and what secrets the house holds.
