Sevara Nazarkhan (Uzbek: Sevara Nazarxon, Севара Назархон) is a talented singer, songwriter, and musician from Uzbekistan. She is famous for mixing traditional Uzbek music with modern sounds. Sevara has become well-known worldwide and has worked with many international artists. She was honored as a "People's Artist of Uzbekistan," which is a very special title given to top performers in her country. In 2004, she won the BBC Radio 3 World Music Award for "Best Asian Artist."

Sevara's Music Journey
Sevara Nazarkhan began her solo music career in 2000. In 2003, she released her popular album Yoʻl boʻlsin with a UK music company called Real World Records. After this album came out, she toured many countries in Europe and Asia with her band. She also opened shows for the famous singer Peter Gabriel on his Growing Up Tour in 2004. In the same year, she won the BBC Radio 3 World Music Award for "Best Asian Artist."
New Albums and Hit Songs
In 2004, Sevara recorded Goʻzal dema, which was a special collection of folk songs released as a limited edition CD. Later, in 2007, Real World Records released her album Sen. Sevara wrote most of the music for this album herself. In 2009, Sevara released a hit song in Russian called "А Он Не Пришёл" (A On Ne Prishyol). This song became very popular in many countries that were once part of the Soviet Union.
Her album Tortadur came out in the US in 2011. This album was a collection of traditional Uzbek songs. Sevara invited older, experienced musicians to play live for the recordings. This album was made without electronic changes. In 2012, Sevara also took part in the Russian version of "The Voice" TV show, where singers compete.
