History of Seville

A post office was opened in Seville in 1887. The name "Seville" comes from the famous city of Seville in Spain.

In 1890, the government of Georgia officially made Seville a town. This meant it had its own rules and local government. However, in 1995, the town's official status was removed. This means it went back to being an unincorporated community.
