Shabnam Surayo (also spelled as Surayyo, Suraya, or Soraya) is a very popular singer from Tajikistan. She is known for her special singing style and for working with many other artists, both from her home country and from other places.

Early Life and Musical Family
Shabnam Surayo was born on October 14, 1981, into a family full of music. Her mother, Surayyo Qosimova, and her sister, Farzonai Khurshed, are also famous singers in Tajikistan. Growing up in such a musical home helped Shabnam develop her own talent.
Rising to Fame
Shabnam's career really took off around 2006. One of her songs became the number one hit in Tajikistan that year! She quickly became very popular, especially in Afghanistan. She often works with Afghan singers and even sings their songs, sometimes with the original artists. For example, she has sung duets with Jawid Sharif, Aryana Sayeed, and Najib Nawabi.
Shabnam also sang a duet called "Ey Khuda" with Afghan singer Jawid Sharif. She has also performed with other well-known Tajik singers like Suhrobi Safarzod, Parvina Shukrulloeva, and Shabnami Sobiri. In 2006, she even performed at a concert for the famous singer Leila Forouhar in Tajikistan.
International Recognition
Shabnam's fame grew even more when she performed at the Tuti Gala in America. This big event helped people around the world discover her music. During the gala, she sang some of her most loved songs, including "Biyo Ki Burem Bagh", "Bizan Dutora", and "Eshq".

Shabnam Surayo is married to Kholid Zohir. They have a daughter named Sharifamoh.
