Shannon Kook was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on February 9, 1987. His family has a diverse background. His father is from Mauritius with Chinese roots, and his mother is a South African of Cape Coloured heritage.
To follow his dream of becoming an actor, Kook moved to Montreal, Canada. There, he studied at the famous National Theatre School of Canada to train and improve his acting skills.
Acting Career
Kook's acting journey began in 2009 with a role in the Canadian TV show Being Erica. He became well-known to many young fans when he played Zane Park in the popular teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2010 to 2011.
