Sharon Case (born February 9, 1971) is an American actress and former model. When she was 17, Sharon started modeling and even lived in Japan for a short time. Later, she began her acting career. She is most famous for her roles in daytime TV shows called soap operas. She had parts in General Hospital and As the World Turns when she was starting out.

In 1994, she began playing Sharon Newman on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. She still plays this role today! Sharon Case is a main actress on the show. She won an award in 1999, the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, for her amazing acting.

Sharon Case's Early Life

Sharon Case was born on February 9, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan. When she was a child, she loved to dance. She spent a lot of time practicing ballet and jazz dancing. When she was three years old, her family moved to Chatsworth, California.

She was married to Sandy Corzine from 2007 to 2009.

Sharon is also active on the social media website Twitter. As of May 2019, she was in a relationship with her The Young and the Restless co-star, Mark Grossman.

How Sharon Case Started Acting

Even though Sharon Case wanted to be an actress, she first tried modeling as a teenager. She said, "I thought modeling would be a good start in the business." In 1988, when she was 17, a talent scout noticed her at a modeling event. She was offered a modeling job in Japan. She stayed in Japan for five months before coming back to Los Angeles. After modeling, she acted in theater plays. She had main roles in musicals like Grease, The Wizard, and The Nutcracker.

In November 1989, Sharon Case got her first TV role. She played Dawn Winthrop on the ABC Network soap opera General Hospital. She left General Hospital the next year. She also made a guest appearance on another ABC show, the comedy drama Doogie Howser, M.D..

In 1991, Sharon Case appeared in other TV shows. These included Diplomatic Immunity, Beverly Hills, 90210, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, and Cheers. From November 1992 to 1993, Sharon played her second soap opera role as Debbie Simon on the CBS Network show As the World Turns. She really liked this role and wanted to keep playing Debbie. During this time, she also appeared on the CBS crime show Silk Stalkings. In 1994, she became a regular on the TV show Valley of the Dolls.

In 2005, Sharon Case was in an independent movie called Carpool Guy with her The Young and the Restless co-star Lauralee Bell. That same year, she starred in a short film called Wentworth. This film was about a man who had to choose between two women, both played by Sharon Case. Students at the University of Southern California made this movie.

In 2007, Sharon starred in her second short film, Repressions. This movie was 24 minutes long. It was filmed from May to July 2006. Movie reviewers really liked the film and said her acting was "mesmerizing" and "stunning." In June 2010, Sharon Case starred with David James Elliott in the romantic comedy Dad's Home for the Hallmark Channel.

In August 1994, Sharon Case was chosen to play Sharon Newman on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. The show's creator, William J. Bell, had introduced the character earlier that year. Other actresses had played Sharon before Sharon Case. Sharon Case wanted to "breathe new life" into the role and make it her own.

In early 1995, Sharon Case became a main cast member. In 2001, she said she only expected to be on the show for six months. In February 2003, she briefly left the show because of contract talks, but she came back that April. Her character, Sharon, grew up in a tough neighborhood. She has become a mother and a business woman on the show. Sharon is known for her romantic relationships with Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Michael Muhney).

Sharon Case has won many awards for her work on The Young and the Restless. She still plays Sharon today.

Sharon Case's Jewelry Line

In January 2010, Sharon Case announced that she had created her own line of fashion jewelry called "Pomp." She created it with her best friend and fashion stylist, Elif Inanc. The jewelry line was designed to have "a piece for everybody" that could be worn for any event.

The line first showed 20 different jewelry designs on the shopping channel QVC Network in August 2010. The prices were between $20 and $40. Nine more pieces were added to the "Pomp" jewelry line in January 2011. Sharon Case said the line was affordable, "chic, fun and hip."
