History of Sharpes

Sharpes might have been named after William H. Sharpe. He was part of a group that helped build the City Point Community Church in Cocoa, Florida, in 1885.

A very important person named Henry Flagler helped Sharpes grow. He extended his Florida East Coast Railroad south. In 1892, he built a train station in nearby Titusville. This made it easier for people and goods to travel.
