Shawn Darrell Jeter (born June 28, 1966) is a former American baseball player. He played as an outfielder for the Chicago White Sox in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 1992. Shawn is also the son of another former MLB outfielder, Johnny Jeter.

Shawn Jeter's Baseball Journey
Starting His Professional Career
Shawn Jeter began his professional baseball journey when the Toronto Blue Jays picked him. They drafted him in the seventh round of the 1985 MLB draft. He quickly showed his talent. In 1987, he was named an All-Star in the Florida State League.
Playing for the White Sox
The Blue Jays traded Shawn Jeter to the Chicago White Sox on July 14, 1991. He made his big league debut with the White Sox on June 13, 1992. His final game in MLB was on October 4, 1992.
After Major League Baseball
After his time in MLB, Shawn Jeter continued to play baseball. He played in Triple-A, which is a level below MLB, in 1993. He was also a replacement player for the Cleveland Indians during spring training in 1995. This happened during a strike by the Major League Baseball Players Association.
Jeter then played for teams outside of MLB. In 1995, he played for Saraperos de Saltillo in the Mexican League. Later, in 1997, he played for the Saskatoon Smokin' Guns. This team was part of an independent league called the Prairie League.
