Sheebah Karungi (born on November 11, 1989) is a famous Ugandan musician, dancer, and actress. Many people know her as Queen Karma or just Sheebah. She is also an activist who supports women's rights.
Sheebah first started acting in the movie Queen of Katwe, where she played a character named Shakira. After leaving a dance group called Obsessions in 2006, she began her journey in music. She became very popular after releasing her hit song "Ice Cream".
In 2014, Sheebah released her first music project, an EP called Ice Cream. This EP had five songs and was very successful. Because of her great music, she won the HiPipo Music Awards for Best Female Artist many times. She won this award every year from 2015 to 2024! She also won Artist of the Year multiple times. In 2024, she was chosen as the vice president of the Uganda National Musician Federation. She works alongside Eddy Kenzo, who is the president.

Sheebah's Early Life and Career Beginnings
Sheebah Karungi grew up in Kawempe, a part of Kampala, Uganda's capital city. Her mother, Edith Kabazungu, raised her. Sheebah went to Kawempe Muslim Primary School. When she was about 15, she left school to follow her dream of dancing.
She first joined a dance group called Stingers. In 2006, she moved to another dance group called Obsessions Music Group. While with Obsessions, she became interested in singing. She recorded two songs before deciding to start her own music career.
Becoming a Solo Artist
In 2010, Sheebah released her first official song, "Kunyenyenza". She then released other songs like "Bulikyenkola" and "Baliwa". Her music career really took off when she released "Automatic". This song was a big success!
After "Automatic", she worked with the same songwriter, Sizzaman, to create "Ice Cream". This song was played everywhere and got great reviews. Soon after, she released another popular song called "Twesana".
In 2014, Sheebah released her first music collection, the Ice Cream EP. It included hit songs like "Ice Cream" and "Jordan". This EP was very popular and helped her win the Best Female Artist award at the HiPipo Music Awards in 2014 and 2015. Her second big music project was an EP called Nkwatako.
Concerts and Business Ventures
Sheebah has held many successful concerts. Her "Nkwatako Concert" was in 2016, and her "Omwoyo Concert" was in 2018. Both concerts took place at Hotel Africana in Kampala. Her team, Team No Sleep, helped organize these big shows.
Besides music, Sheebah is also a smart businesswoman. She has started several businesses in Kampala under her Sheebah Investments program. These include The Red Bar and Red Events, which she co-owns with dancer Cathy Patra. She also has a hair extension business called Sheebah by Natna.

Sheebah became a mother in November 2024. She welcomed a healthy baby boy named Amir.
