Where is Shell Beach Located?
Shell Beach is situated in St. Bernard Parish, which is in the southeastern part of Louisiana. It's located right on the Mississippi River – Gulf Outlet Canal, which is a waterway that connects the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico. The community is also very close to Lake Borgne, a large saltwater lake. If you were to travel from Chalmette, another town nearby, Shell Beach is about 18 miles (29 km) to the east-southeast.
