The Sherbino Wind Farm is a large power plant that uses wind to create electricity. It is located in Pecos County, Texas in the western part of Texas, USA. This wind farm helps provide clean energy to many homes and businesses.

What is the Sherbino Wind Farm?

The Sherbino Wind Farm is a big project designed to produce a lot of electricity from wind. The first part of the project, called Phase I, is already working. It can make 150 megawatts (MW) of power.

When the entire project is finished, it will be able to produce a huge 750 MW of electricity. That's enough power for many thousands of homes!

How Does it Work?

Phase I of the Sherbino Wind Farm uses 50 special machines called wind turbine generators. These turbines are like giant windmills. They catch the wind with their blades and turn it into electricity.

Each of these wind turbines is a Vestas V-90 model. They are made by a company called Vestas. Each turbine can create 3 MW of power when the wind is blowing well.

Who Runs the Wind Farm?

The company BP helps to operate Phase I of the Sherbino Wind Farm. They make sure the turbines are working correctly and that electricity is being sent out.
