Her Early Life and Education
Shereen Bhan was born on August 20, 1976. She grew up in a Kashmiri Hindu family. She went to school in Kashmir and also in New Delhi. Later, she studied Philosophy at St. Stephen's College, Delhi. She also earned a master's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Pune. Her special focus was on film and television.
Shereen Bhan is also the cousin of Indian actress Naina Bhan.
Her Journey in Journalism
Shereen Bhan started her career as a news-researcher for Karan Thapar. He had his own production company called Infotainment Television. She then joined UTV Software Communications in their News and Current Affairs team. There, she helped produce popular TV shows like We the People for Star TV. She also worked on Line of Fire for SAB TV.
Shereen joined CNBC-TV18 on December 7, 2000. She became a very important part of the channel.

Shereen Bhan is the anchor and editor of Young Turks. This is one of India's longest-running shows about entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are people who start new businesses. She also hosts Overdrive, a show about cars and vehicles. This show won the 'Best Auto Show' award for three years in a row.
She leads the channel's special programs. These include shows like Ministers of Change and What Women Really Want. Shereen also anchors and produces other shows. These include India Business Hour, The Nation's Business, and Power Turks.
