A Look Back at Sherrodsville
Sherrodsville was first planned and built in 1882. It was named after Charles Sherrod, who was the original owner of the land where the village now stands. In 1911, a very big fire happened in the village. This fire sadly burned down 23 buildings.

Sherrodsville is located near a stream called Conotton Creek. The village covers a total area of about 0.82 square kilometers (0.32 square miles), and all of this area is land.
You can find Sherrodsville where two main roads meet: State Route 39 and State Route 212. A railway line, which is now the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway, also passes through Sherrodsville. This railway used to be known as the New York, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad.
