Shireen Sungkar (born January 28, 1992) is a famous Indonesian actress and singer. She comes from a family of actors; her parents are Fanny Bauty and Mark Sungkar. She has mixed Arabic and Minangkabau family roots.

Acting and Singing Career
Shireen was interested in acting from a young age. Her career started in 2006 when she was a semi-finalist in a teen model contest called GADIS Sampul.
First Roles
Her first acting job was a supporting role in the soap opera Bukan diriku. A soap opera, known as a sinetron in Indonesia, is a popular type of TV drama. Soon after, she became more well-known for her role in the TV series Wulan.
Becoming a Star
Shireen's big break came when she got the main role of Fitri in the very popular soap opera Cinta Fitri. This show was a huge hit and made her one of Indonesia's most famous actresses.
Music with The Sisters
Besides acting, Shireen is also a talented singer. She and her older sister, Zaskia Sungkar, formed a singing group called The Sisters. Their first album, The Journey of Love, was released in 2008.
Personal Life
In 2007, to show thanks for her success, Shireen went on an Umrah pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. An Umrah is a special religious journey for Muslims. She went with her parents and siblings.
On November 17, 2013, Shireen married actor Teuku Wisnu.
