Sho Naruoka (born May 31, 1984) is a former Japanese football player. He was known for his skills as a midfielder. He played for several teams during his career, including Júbilo Iwata and Albirex Niigata.
Sho Naruoka's Club Career
Sho Naruoka started his professional football journey in 2003. He joined Júbilo Iwata and played there for eight years until 2010. He was a key player for them.
After leaving Júbilo Iwata, he moved to Avispa Fukuoka in 2011. He played there for two seasons. In January 2013, Naruoka joined Albirex Niigata. He spent five years with this team, playing many matches.
Naruoka was known as a very skilled attacking midfielder. He had excellent technique on the field. During his high school days at Fujieda Higashi High School, he even played alongside Makoto Hasebe. Hasebe later became the captain of the Japan National Team. Sho Naruoka retired from playing football in December 2019. His last club was Fujieda MYFC.
Playing for Japan's Youth Teams
Sho Naruoka also represented his country at a young age. In September 2001, he was chosen to play for the Japan U-17 national team. He played in the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship. He played in all three matches for his team in that tournament.
Later, in November 2003, he was selected for the Japan U-20 national team. He participated in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. He played in all five matches during that competition.
