Shoalwater is a beautiful coastal suburb located south of Perth. Perth is the capital city of Western Australia. Shoalwater is part of the City of Rockingham.
This area is well-known for its shallow waters. In fact, the first people who settled here named it 'Shoalwater' because of these very shallow waters.

Shoalwater is located inside the amazing Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. This park is a special protected area in the ocean. It includes Shoalwater Bay and Warnbro Sound.
The park also features Cape Peron and several small islands. These islands are Penguin Island, Seal Island, and Shag Rock. They are home to lots of interesting wildlife.
Sports Fun in Shoalwater
Shoalwater is home to the Shoalwater Bay Cricket Club. This club is often called the "Seals." They play cricket in the Peel Cricket Association.
The club has many teams for different ages. There are senior teams from A to F Grade. They also have junior teams for kids under 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17.
The "Seals" play their games at Stan Twight Reserve. This sports ground is located in Rockingham. The club helps young players develop their skills. Some players even go on to play for bigger teams.
