Shūichi Gonda (権田 修一, Gonda Shūichi, born 3 March 1989) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Debreceni VSC. He also represented the Japan national team at the 2014 and 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Shūichi Gonda is a talented Japanese goalkeeper. He started his professional career with FC Tokyo in 2007. He played for them for nine years, making 244 appearances in different competitions. During his time at FC Tokyo, he helped the team win four important trophies.
Playing for Japan
Gonda also played for the Japan national team. He made his first appearance for the senior team on January 6, 2010. He has played in 32 matches for Japan's youth teams before joining the main squad. He was part of the Japan team that won the 2011 AFC Asian Cup and was also a runner-up in the 2019 tournament. Gonda proudly represented Japan in two FIFA World Cups, in 2014 and 2022.
