Shunsuke Tsutsumi (堤 俊輔, Tsutsumi Shunsuke, born 8 June 1987) is a former Japanese football (soccer) player. He played as a defender, usually as a right back or center back. Tsutsumi played for several clubs during his career, including Urawa Red Diamonds and Avispa Fukuoka. He also represented Japan at the youth international level.

Playing Career Highlights
Shunsuke Tsutsumi started his football journey in the youth system of Urawa Red Diamonds. He joined their main team in 2006. During his time with Urawa, he helped the team win important titles. These included the J1 League in 2006 and the AFC Champions League in 2007. The AFC Champions League is a major competition for clubs in Asia.
Time with Avispa Fukuoka
After playing for Roasso Kumamoto on loan and then Tochigi SC, Tsutsumi moved to Avispa Fukuoka in 2012. He spent seven seasons with Avispa Fukuoka, which was the longest period at any club in his career. He played in 188 league matches for them, scoring 5 goals. He was an important part of their defense during these years.
Retirement from Football
After leaving Avispa Fukuoka, Tsutsumi played one season for Kagoshima United FC in 2019. He played 33 matches for them. In January 2020, Shunsuke Tsutsumi decided to retire from professional football. He ended his career having played over 260 league matches in total.
International Appearances
Shunsuke Tsutsumi also played for Japan's national youth teams. He was part of the Japan U-20 squad.
AFC Youth Championship
He played in the qualification matches for the AFC Youth Championship 2006. He also took part in the main tournament in 2006, where Japan's team finished in second place. He played 7 matches for the Japan U-20 team in total.
