The YMCA Conference Center
The Silver Bay YMCA Conference & Family Retreat Center is a very important part of this community. It is one of only a few centers like it in the United States. The center started way back in 1900. It has grown a lot since then. Many different groups come here for meetings and retreats.
Historic Buildings to Explore
The YMCA center has many interesting old buildings.
- Hepbron Hall was built in 1901.
- Paine Hall is a large Victorian Mansion from 1895.
- There is a big auditorium built in 1909 that can hold 700 people.
