Silvio Spann (born August 21, 1981) is a former professional footballer from Trinidad and Tobago. He played as a midfielder for many different teams. Silvio played football in several countries, including Italy, Japan, Croatia, and Wales.
Silvio comes from a family of footballers. His father, Leroy Spann, also played for the Trinidad and Tobago national team. Silvio's younger brother, Silas Spann, has also been a member of the national team.

Silvio's Club Football Journey
Silvio Spann started his football career in Trinidad and Tobago. He later moved to play for clubs in other countries.
Playing in Europe and Asia
Silvio played in Italy for teams like Perugia and Sambenedettese. He was interested in playing in England, but he couldn't get a work permit at first. Because of this, he moved to Japan and played for Yokohama FC.
After his time in Japan, Silvio returned to Trinidad and Tobago. He rejoined his former club, W Connection.
Time with Wrexham
In 2007, Silvio got another chance to play in the United Kingdom. He signed a three-year contract with Wrexham, a team in Wales. His teammates from the Trinidad and Tobago national team, Carlos Edwards and Dennis Lawrence, had played for Wrexham before and spoke highly of the club.
Silvio wore the number 16 shirt for Wrexham. He scored his first goal for the club in a game against Notts County.
Playing for His Country: Trinidad and Tobago
Silvio Spann also proudly represented his home country, Trinidad and Tobago, on the international stage.
International Debut and World Cup Dream
He made his first appearance for the national team in July 2002. This was in a match against Barbados.
Silvio was chosen to be part of the Trinidad and Tobago team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. This was a huge achievement for his country. However, he sadly had to miss the tournament. He got a hamstring injury just before the World Cup began.
Memorable Goals for His Country
Silvio scored some important goals for Trinidad and Tobago. One of his most famous goals happened on June 7, 2007. This was during the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament. He scored a fantastic free kick from more than 40 meters away against El Salvador. Even though it was a great goal, Trinidad and Tobago lost the game 2–1.
