When Simon was younger, he loved to dance. He trained at the Solrød Centre and even performed at big events and dance competitions. His family didn't have a lot of money when his father was growing up, so Simon explored different career ideas before choosing acting. He moved to Hjørring for a short time. Later, he went to the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen, where he studied acting. He finished his studies in 2014.

In 2017, Simon starred in the film Winter Brothers (Vinterbrødre). His role in this movie earned him nominations for two important awards: the Bodil Awards and the Robert Awards. He also began playing the main character, Christian, in the DR series Ride Upon the Storm (Herrens Veje). For this role, he was nominated twice for the Robert Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Television Role.
