Simone Sherise Battle (born June 17, 1989 – died September 5, 2014) was an American singer, dancer, and actress. She became well-known after being a finalist on the TV singing show The X Factor in 2011. Later, she joined the popular girl group G.R.L. in 2012.
G.R.L. was famous for songs like "Vacation", "Ugly Heart", and "Wild Wild Love" with Pitbull. After Simone passed away, the group released the song "Lighthouse" as a special tribute to her. Besides music, Simone also appeared in several music videos and the movie We the Party (2012) with Snoop Dogg.

Early Career and The X Factor
Simone Battle started her TV career in 2006. She had small roles in shows like Zoey 101 and Everybody Hates Chris. In 2008, she was the main character in the Mary Mary music video "Get Up". She also appeared as a dancer in the Cali Swag District music video "Teach Me How to Dougie" in 2010.

Acting Roles and Joining G.R.L.
In 2012, Simone Battle starred in her first full-length movie, We the Party. She acted alongside Mandela Van Peebles, Moisés Arias, and Snoop Dogg. The movie received good reviews. She also appeared in a short film called Meanamorphosis in 2012.
After leaving The X Factor, Simone released her own music video for her song "He Likes Boys".
