Simone Giannelli, born on August 9, 1996, is a famous Italian volleyball player. He plays as a setter for the Italy men's national volleyball team and for the Italian club Sir Safety Perugia. Simone has won many important medals. He earned a silver medal at the 2015 World Cup and a bronze medal at the 2015 European Championship. He also won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Simone has achieved gold medals at the 2021 Men's European Volleyball Championship and the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.

Simone Giannelli quickly became a rising star in volleyball. In the 2014-2015 season, he won the Finals MVP award. This was with his team, Trentino Volley, in the Italian Volleyball League. They beat Modena Volley to win the title.

After this success, Simone became a starting player for the Italian national team. He earned this spot even though there were other strong players.

In his first year with the national team, Simone won two big medals. He took home a silver medal at the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup.
