Plot Summary
The story begins when Marge notices her hair is falling out very quickly. She visits Dr. Hibbert, who tells her that she is too stressed. To help Marge, the Simpsons decide to hire a nanny to help with housework and taking care of the children. However, they have a hard time finding the right person.
Bart and Lisa even sing a song about what their perfect nanny would be like. Suddenly, a woman floats down from the sky using a magical umbrella. She introduces herself as Shary Bobbins. She seems absolutely perfect for the job, so the family hires her.
Shary Bobbins is very helpful for the Simpson family. Marge's stress goes away, and her hair grows back. The family starts to act much better. When they sit down for a perfect dinner, Shary says her work is finished. But as she leaves the house, she sees Homer getting into a big argument with Bart. She also sees Maggie trying to put out a small fire. Marge's hair starts to fall out again. Since the family quickly goes back to their old ways, Shary has to stay.
Soon, the family starts treating Shary rudely. They lose interest in her cheerful attitude and her efforts to make them better. Shary becomes very sad and upset, saying that the Simpsons will be the end of her. She starts to feel down and sings sad songs.
After seeing how much the Simpsons have affected their nanny, Marge tells Shary that nothing can truly change them. The Simpsons then sing a song, saying they are happy just the way they are. Shary accepts this and leaves using her magical umbrella. Homer wonders if they will see her again someday.
