Sir Henry Bromley, 4th Baronet (born December 25, 1816 – died September 21, 1895) was an English cricketer. He played in important cricket matches. He also helped manage cricket teams.
Sir Henry was the son of Sir Robert Bromley. His father was an admiral in the Royal Navy. Henry was born in December 1816 at Stoke Hall, Nottinghamshire. He went to school at Westminster School.

Sir Henry's Cricket Life
Sir Henry Bromley loved cricket. He played one special match called a first-class game. This was for the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). They played against Oxford University in 1844. The game took place in Oxford.
Playing the Game
In that match, Sir Henry batted two times. In the MCC's first turn, he scored zero runs. This is called a "duck" in cricket. He was out by a bowler named Cyril Randolph. In the MCC's second turn, he scored 9 runs. The same bowler got him out again.

Leading Cricket in Nottinghamshire
When his father passed away in 1857, Henry became the 4th Baronet. A Baronet is like a knight, and the title is passed down in the family. He became friends with the famous Daft brothers, Richard and Charles. They were well-known cricketers.
Sir Henry was a big supporter of cricket in Nottinghamshire. In 1861, he joined the committee of the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. This committee helped run the club. Later, in 1869, he became the club's first president. He stayed in this important role until 1877.

Outside of cricket, Sir Henry Bromley had other public duties. In 1869, he became a deputy lieutenant for Nottinghamshire. This was an important local government role. In 1882, he served as the High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire. The High Sheriff is a ceremonial officer for the county.
He was also a justice of the peace. This meant he helped keep law and order. He also served in the army. He was a captain in the 3rd Nottinghamshire Rifle Volunteers. Sir Henry died at Stoke Hall in September 1895. His son, Sir Henry, became the 5th Baronet.]
