Sir Herbert Springet (born around 1613, died 5 January 1662) was an English politician. He served in the House of Commons, which is a main part of the UK Parliament. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) at different times between 1646 and 1662.

Early Life and Education
Herbert Springet was the oldest son of Sir Thomas Springet. His family lived at a place called Broyle Place. He went to Hawkhurst Grammar School. Later, when he was 15, he started studying at Christ's College, Cambridge in 1628. He also studied law at Middle Temple in 1630. In 1635, he traveled to France.
His Time in Parliament
In 1646, Springet was chosen to be a Member of Parliament (MP) for New Shoreham. He joined the Long Parliament. He held this job until 1648, when he was removed during an event called Pride's Purge.
Later, from 1654 to 1655, he was an MP for Sussex. This was during the First Protectorate Parliament.

In April 1660, Springet was again elected as an MP for New Shoreham. This time, he served in the Convention Parliament. In 1661, he was elected MP for Shoreham once more for the Cavalier Parliament.
Becoming a Baronet
On January 8, 1661, Herbert Springet was given the title of Baronet of Broyle Place, Sussex. A Baronet is a special title that is passed down in a family, like a knight but with a hereditary rank. However, his baronet title ended when he died because he had no sons to pass it on to.
Later Life and Legacy
Sir Herbert Springet passed away in 1662 when he was 48 years old. His daughter, Barbara, married Sir William Thomas, 1st Baronet. Sir William was also an MP for Seaford and Sussex.
