Sir Peter George Osborne, born on June 29, 1943, is a British businessman. He helped start a company called Osborne & Little in 1968. This company designs and sells beautiful wallpapers and fabrics for homes. Sir Peter is also the father of George Osborne, a well-known politician. George Osborne used to be the Chancellor of the Exchequer, which is like the country's main finance minister.

Early Life and Education

Peter Osborne was born on June 29, 1943. He is the older son of Sir George Osborne, who was the 16th Baronet. A Baronet is a special title, like a knight, that can be passed down in a family. His mother was Mary Horn.

Peter went to Wellington College, Berkshire, a well-known school. Later, he studied at Christ Church, Oxford, which is part of the famous Oxford University. He earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree there. When his father passed away on July 21, 1960, Peter became the 17th Baronet.

Business Career

In 1968, Peter Osborne and his brother-in-law, Anthony Little, started their own company. They named it Osborne & Little. This company became very successful. It makes and sells fancy wallpaper and fabrics for interior design. Their first shop opened in Chelsea, a stylish part of London.

Osborne & Little grew into a well-known brand. Peter Osborne's success in business helped him build his wealth.
