Michele Andrea Sherman (born March 23, 1987), known by her stage name Siya, is an American rapper and songwriter. She is known for starring in the reality TV show Sisterhood of Hip Hop.
In 2012, Siya signed with the R&B Money record label, which is run by the singer Tank. She has worked with famous artists like Chris Brown and Sage the Gemini. Siya has also performed with musicians such as Wyclef Jean and opened concerts for stars like Fat Joe and Fabolous. She also acts and has appeared in the BET Plus show Angel.

Early Life and First Steps in Music
Siya was born in Barstow, California. She had a difficult childhood and was raised by her grandmother in the Eleanor Roosevelt housing projects in Bedford–Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
From a young age, music was very important to Siya. She started rapping when she was only seven years old. By the time she was 12, she was already getting involved in the music industry. One of her biggest childhood influences was the rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. She liked how they mixed melody with their rap music and were not afraid to try new things.

Signing with a Label
The famous R&B singer Tank discovered Siya's music and was very impressed. He signed her to his record label, R&B Money LLC. In 2011, Siya released her singles "I'm Gone" and a mixtape called Elevator Dreams.
Releasing Albums and EPs
In 2014, Siya released the singles "One Hunnid" and "Real MVP". The next year, she released two more mixtapes, Better Late Than Never and What Never Happened.
On December 9, 2016, she released her first studio album, SIYAvsSIYA. The album featured songs with artists like Ashley Rose, Jake&Papa, and Kreesha Turner.
In 2017, Siya released a six-song extended play (EP) called Commitment. An EP is like a short album. Later that year, she released another EP titled 383- For Roosevelt. In 2018, she released her EP Mad Energy.
