Sky Las Vegas is a tall, fancy building in Winchester, Nevada. It stands right on the famous Las Vegas Strip. This building has 45 floors and 409 homes, called condominiums. These are like apartments that people own. The tower stands on a 3-acre piece of land.

Before Sky Las Vegas was built, there were plans for a shopping center in 2001. However, that project never happened. The idea for Sky Las Vegas was announced in July 2004. Building started in 2005, and the tower officially opened in May 2007.

Entrance to Sky Las Vegas

Sky Las Vegas opened its doors in May 2007. It was the first tall building with homes to open on the Las Vegas Strip. The building has special homes called SkySuites. There are four of these, and each one has three floors. They have four bedrooms and five bathrooms. These huge homes are on the very top floors, above the penthouses.

In July 2007, one of the fancy penthouses sold for $2.7 million. It was still unfinished at the time. Because of a tough economy, some homes were rented out instead of being sold. This helped the owners during that time.

Shops and Sales

There is a large CVS Pharmacy store inside the building. This store covers about 14,378 square feet. In March 2014, this CVS store was sold for $30 million. This was the most expensive sale for a CVS store in the Las Vegas Valley.

In April 2015, there were 65 homes in the tower that had not been sold yet. These homes were put up for sale all at once. The sale also included empty retail space on the second and third floors. The CVS store was not part of this big sale. In September 2015, a company called Pathfinder Partners bought the remaining 64 homes. The CVS store was listed for sale again in January 2016.
