Junior Gymnastics Highlights

Becoming a National Team Member

In 2018, Skye competed in several events as a junior gymnast. At the American Classic, she placed third in the all-around competition. Later that year, at the U.S. National Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around. She also won a silver medal on the floor exercise and a bronze on vault. Because of her great results, Skye was chosen to be part of the national team for the first time.

Junior World Championships Success

Skye then competed at the Junior World Championships Trials, where she placed first in the all-around. This earned her a spot on the team for the first-ever Junior World Championships. There, she helped the USA team win a bronze medal. She also placed fourth on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise in the event finals.

Strong Performances in 2020

Skye started 2020 by winning the all-around in the junior division at the WOGA Classic. She then competed at International Gymnix, where she helped the USA team win another gold medal. Skye competed at the National Championships, finishing seventh in the all-around. This qualified her for the Olympic Trials. However, she had to withdraw from the trials due to an injury during warmups.

In September 2021, Skye announced her plan to join the Florida Gators college gymnastics team. She officially signed with them in November 2022, planning to start after the 2024 Olympic Games.

World Championship Gold Medals

In 2022, Skye returned to competition at the 2022 Winter Cup, placing second in the all-around. She was part of the US team that won gold at the DTB Pokal Team Challenge in Germany. At the Pan American Championships, she won a bronze medal in the all-around and on floor exercise. She also helped the United States team win a silver medal.
