Stanislav Todorov Trifonov (Bulgarian: Станислав Тодоров Трифонов), born on October 18, 1966, is better known as Slavi Trifonov (Bulgarian: Слави Трифонов). He is a famous Bulgarian TV host, musician, singer, and politician.
Slavi Trifonov is well-known for his work in traditional Bulgarian folk music. He has also tried other music styles like hip-hop and pop-rock. He was part of the band Ku-Ku Band (Bulgarian: Ку-Ку Бенд). Many people know him from his popular TV shows like Slavi's Show, Exiles, and Canaletto.

About Slavi Trifonov
Early Life and Education
Slavi Trifonov was born in Pleven, Bulgaria. He grew up in a family that valued education. He was a very good student and loved to read books.
He went to a music school in Pleven. One day, he decided to perform jokes at a talent show. The audience loved it and asked him to do more. This moment was a big turning point in his life.
In 1985, Slavi finished his music school in Pleven. Later, he studied at the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Voice Acting
Slavi Trifonov also used his voice for movies! He was the Bulgarian voice of Red in The Angry Birds Movie.
Television Career
Slavi Trifonov was one of the first people to create private TV shows for Bulgarian National Television (BNT). His first time on TV was in a comedy sketch on the show KUKU.
In 1997, he was very active in protests against the government on his show Canaletto.
In 1998, he started a show called Exiles. This show was known for its strong political comedy. It featured his band, Ku-Ku Band.
On November 27, 2000, Slavi Trifonov started his most famous show, Slavi's Show, on bTV. He also leads a company that makes many other TV programs. These include reality shows like Survivor BG and Music Idol.
As a singer, he has released many albums with Ku-Ku, Canaletto, and Ku-Ku Band. He has toured all over Bulgaria and even in the United States and Canada. In 2004, he sang a duet with Elena Paparizou called "Why?".
In 2005, Slavi Trifonov was going to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest with Sofi Marinova. However, he decided to withdraw. He said he believed the voting was not fair.
Slavi Trifonov has also stood up against false news in newspapers. He won many cases and gave the money to help others.
On May 6, 2019, Slavi announced that Slavi's Show would end. He then started his own TV channel called 7/8 TV. The first broadcast was on November 4, 2019. He now hosts a new show called Late Night Show with Slavi Trifonov on his channel.
Ku-Ku Band
Slavi Trifonov is the main singer and tambourine player for the Bulgarian music band Ku-Ku. The band started in 1993. Ku-Ku Band has been a big part of his TV shows like KU-KU, Canaletto, and Slavi's Show.
The band has released 21 albums and over 300 songs. They have performed hundreds of concerts and toured many times, including in the United States.
Political Career
In 2019, Slavi Trifonov started a political party called There Is Such a People (ITN). This party supported the big protests in Bulgaria in 2020 and 2021.
In the April 2021 election, his party came in second place. They won 17.4% of the votes and 51 seats in the National Assembly. When no party could form a government, another election was held in July 2021. This time, ITN became the strongest party, winning 23.8% of the votes and 65 seats. Slavi Trifonov then said he would try to form a government.
Views on Important Issues
Slavi Trifonov supports having more direct democracy in Bulgaria. This means giving citizens more direct power in making decisions.
In March 2020, he donated 100,000 leva to help medical workers in a hospital in Sofia. These workers were fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. He has also shared strong opinions about the rules put in place during the pandemic. He has also expressed concerns about people coming to Bulgaria from war zones in the Middle East.
