He trained at a ski resort in Slovenia. His goal was to be ready for the World Cup in Kranjska Gora. This competition was important for him to qualify.
His coach, Roman Podlipnik, was very happy. Jernej was getting better faster than they thought. By the end of 2017, Jernej was the only Slovenian athlete ready for the Paralympics.
Competing and Qualifying
Because Jernej recovered quickly, he raced in a World Cup event. This race was in Zagreb, Croatia, in early December. He also competed in another World Cup in Slovenia a week later.
