History of Snyder's-Lance
Snyder's-Lance has grown a lot since it was formed. It has bought other snack companies over the years. This helped them offer even more of your favorite treats!
Growing the Snack Family
On September 6, 2012, Snyder's-Lance decided to buy a company called Snack Factory. This deal was worth $312 million. They hoped to complete the purchase by the end of that year.
Less than a year later, on August 30, 2013, Snyder's-Lance bought another company. This one was called Stateline Service Corp. The price for this purchase was not shared with the public.
Adding Famous Brands
In 2016, Snyder's-Lance made a big move. They bought Diamond Foods. This was a special kind of deal where they used both cash and company shares.
This purchase brought many well-known snack brands under the Snyder's-Lance name. These included Kettle Brand chips, Diamond of California nuts, and Pop-Secret popcorn.
Joining Campbell Soup Company
On December 18, 2017, Snyder's-Lance announced some big news. They had agreed to be bought by the Campbell Soup Company. This was a very large deal, valued at $4.9 billion!
Later, on January 18, 2023, Campbell Soup Company shared another update. They decided to close the Campbell Snacks offices in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Norwalk, Connecticut. All the work from these offices moved to Campbell's main headquarters in Camden, New Jersey.
