Snyder is a small village located in Dodge County, Nebraska, in the United States. In 2020, about 254 people lived there. It is a quiet community in the heart of Nebraska.

History

Snyder was officially planned out in 1886. This happened when a railroad, the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad, built its tracks to this spot. The village was named after Conrad Schneider. He was the person who originally owned the land where the town was built. Snyder became an official village in 1890. A famous Lutheran radio minister, Oswald Hoffmann, was born in Snyder in 1913. He became well-known in the second half of the 1900s.
