Snydertown is a small community located in Centre County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is not a city or town with its own local government. Instead, it is known as an "unincorporated community." This means it is a group of homes and businesses that are part of a larger area called a "township."

Snydertown is also a "census-designated place" (CDP). This is a special area created by the U.S. Census Bureau just for counting people. It helps them collect information about how many people live in different parts of the country. In 2010, the census counted 483 people living in Snydertown.

Exploring Snydertown's Location

Snydertown is found in two different townships: Walker Township and Marion Township. Both of these are in Centre County, Pennsylvania.

Where is Snydertown's Center?

The main part of Snydertown is in Walker Township. It sits in a beautiful area called the Nittany Valley. This valley is known for its lovely scenery. Snydertown is located between two other small communities: Hublersburg and Nittany. You can find it close to Pennsylvania Route 64, which is a road that connects different places.

Snydertown's Natural Borders

The area of Snydertown stretches west to include homes built on a hill called Sand Ridge. This ridge has both a flat top (summit) and sloped sides. On the northwestern side of Sand Ridge, you'll find Interstate 80. This big highway forms the northwestern edge of the Snydertown area. However, there isn't a direct exit or entrance to Interstate 80 right from Snydertown.
