What's the Story About?
Molly Morris works as a private investigator in Dallas. Her job is to take pictures of people who are cheating. One day, an FBI Agent named Armon Ranford offers her a special job. He wants her to watch over Alex Patrone. Alex is the daughter of a Senator, and her family is involved in a big case.
Molly isn't sure at first, but she decides to take the job. She goes undercover as a college student named Brooke Stonebridge. Her dad helps her get ready for this new role.
At college, she meets Sasha Stolezinsky, who leads the sorority. She also meets other members like Becky, Cotton, Hunter, and Alex. Alex is the person Molly is there to protect. Molly first thinks Sasha might be involved in something suspicious. But it turns out Sasha just changed her name to start a new life. Molly also meets Nicholas Dexter, another student, and they start to like each other.
Molly begins to suspect one of her teachers, Professor Galloway. She finds out that Alex secretly visits his home by a lake. Molly keeps reporting back to Agent Ranford. At one point, Ranford tells Molly that Nicholas Dexter is not his real name.
Molly doesn't believe Ranford. Soon, she realizes that Ranford is not who he says he is. One night, she follows Alex to Professor Galloway's house. There, she discovers that her professor is actually a federal agent. She also runs into a person with a gun and manages to escape. Molly figures out that Ranford is the bad guy. He drives away with Alex, who he has kidnapped. Molly then finds Professor Galloway injured outside his home.
When Molly gets back to the sorority house, she meets two real federal agents. They are working on the case. At first, they don't believe Molly. But Molly convinces them to help solve the case with her sorority sisters. They work together to rescue Alex. They also trap Ranford, and he gets arrested. Alex gives Molly an SD card with important evidence for her father's case. Molly then gives it to the FBI.
The FBI is very happy with Molly's work. They offer her a job to keep working for them. But Molly says no. She wants to continue going to college instead. Two months later, Molly is taking pictures of a guy Cotton is dating. Nicholas comes up to her, and it's clear they are now a couple. They kiss as the movie ends.
