Autumn Reeser (born September 21, 1980) is an American actress. She is famous for playing Taylor Townsend in the TV series The O.C. and Katie Andrews in No Ordinary Family. She has also starred in many popular movies for the Hallmark Channel.

Early Life and Education

Autumn Reeser was born in California. From a young age, she loved acting and performing in musicals. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles to study at the UCLA. She graduated in 2004 from its School of Theater, Film and Television. She also trained at a famous acting school called the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

Autumn's first TV role was in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager. She then appeared in popular shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Cold Case.

Her big break came when she joined the cast of the hit show The O.C. from 2005 to 2007. She played the quirky and smart character Taylor Townsend. Autumn said she loved playing Taylor because many girls could relate to her. She liked that the character was confident and didn't try to be like everyone else.

After The O.C., Autumn had roles in many other TV shows. She played Lizzy Grant, a Hollywood agent, in the HBO show Entourage. She also starred as a goddess from Greek mythology in the series Valentine.

From 2010 to 2011, she played Katie Andrews in the ABC show No Ordinary Family. The show was about a family that gets superpowers after a plane crash. She has also appeared in shows like Hawaii Five-0, Last Resort, and The Arrangement.

Autumn Reeser has acted in many movies. Some of her early films include the comedy The Girl Next Door and the horror movie Lost Boys: The Tribe. She also appeared in So Undercover with Miley Cyrus.

In 2016, she had a role in the movie Sully, which was directed by Clint Eastwood. The film tells the true story of a pilot who safely landed a plane on the Hudson River. It was a big success and received great reviews.

Autumn is also very well known for her leading roles in movies for the Hallmark Channel. She has starred in over a dozen of these romantic comedies. Some of her popular Hallmark movies include Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade, A Country Wedding, and Christmas Under the Stars. In 2022 and 2023, she starred in a series of six Hallmark movies called The Wedding Veil with fellow actresses Lacey Chabert and Allison Sweeney.

In 2015, Autumn was elected to the board of SAG-AFTRA, the union that represents actors and other media professionals.
