Angélica Sofía Castro Rivera (born October 30, 1996), known as Sofía Castro, is a Mexican actress. She is the daughter of actress Angélica Rivera and producer José Alberto Castro. Her mother was also the First Lady of Mexico from 2012 to 2018.

Sofía Castro began her acting journey in television. She has appeared in many popular TV shows and telenovelas, which are like long TV dramas.
Early TV Appearances
Sofía started acting when she was young. She appeared in a TV series called La hora pico in 2007. She also had special roles in shows like Lola, érase una vez and Skimo in 2007 and 2008. From 2008 to 2009, she was in several episodes of La rosa de Guadalupe.
Growing Roles in Telenovelas
As she grew older, Sofía took on bigger roles. In 2009 and 2010, she had a special appearance in Verano de amor. She then played supporting roles in popular telenovelas such as Teresa (2010-2011) and Esperanza del corazón (2011-2012).
In 2012, she played Sofía "Sofi" Salvatierra in Cachito de cielo. She also appeared in three episodes of Como dice el dicho from 2012 to 2013.
Main and Antagonist Roles
Sofía took on more challenging roles as her career progressed. From 2013 to 2014, she played an antagonist, Dafne Quintana Herrera, in Por siempre mi amor. An antagonist is a character who works against the main hero.
