Sol Heras is an English actor who was born on October 8, 1987. He is known for playing the character Ryan Connor in the popular TV show Coronation Street. He took on the role from 2012 to 2013. Sol was the second actor to play Ryan, taking over from Ben Thompson. Later, Ryan Prescott took over the role in 2018.

Early Life and Beginnings

Sol Heras grew up in Cheshire, England, where he was born in 1987. He started his acting career in 2007.

First TV Roles

In 2007, Sol got a part in a TV show called Rock Rivals. This show was about a talent competition. Sol played a character named Luke Ellis. This was his first time appearing on television. For the singing parts in the show, another singer's voice was used for Sol's character. However, Sol still learned how to lip-sync and had vocal coaching.

After Rock Rivals, Sol acted in a horror movie called Splintered. He played a relaxed character who didn't worry much. He also appeared in two episodes of Hollyoaks Later, which is a spin-off show from Hollyoaks. In 2010, he played a character named Zavi in an episode of the BBC Three comedy The Gemma Factor.

Joining the Famous Soap Opera

In May 2012, it was announced that Sol Heras would join the long-running TV show Coronation Street. He was cast as Ryan Connor. The show's producer, Phil Collinson, said that Sol was a "brilliant young actor" and was excited to have him join the cast.

Leaving the Show

Sol Heras was well-received by TV critics for his role as Ryan. However, in July 2013, after about a year on the show, Sol announced he would be leaving Coronation Street when his contract ended. The character of Ryan Connor returned to the show in May 2018, but a different actor, Ryan Prescott, played him instead.

Film Roles

In 2014, Sol Heras played the main character, Wade, in a film called Viking - The Berserkers. This movie is set in the Dark Ages. It tells the story of five young Saxons who are hunted by Viking warriors. The Vikings use a special potion that makes them "berserk" during the hunt. The film shows the young Saxons fighting to survive.

Sol also appeared in a short film called The Service in 2015 and an episode of Late Shift in 2016.
