What's the Show About?

Jarvis Raines (played by Kolton Stewart) is a regular 14-year-old. His life changes when a toy chemistry set causes a big accident at his house. Because of this, he ends up owning the toy company, Knickknack Toys!

As the new boss, Jarvis decides to hire a group of his friends from high school. Together, they try to create awesome new toys. But things often go wrong in funny ways. At the end of each episode, you usually see commercials for the new toys they invented.

Meet the Characters

Here are some of the main characters you'll see in Some Assembly Required:

Jarvis Raines

  • Kolton Stewart plays Jarvis Raines. He's a fun-loving teenager who suddenly becomes the owner of Knickknack Toys. This happens after a toy he got caused a big mess at his house. Later in the show, Jarvis starts dating Piper.

Piper Gray

  • Charlie Storwick plays Piper Gray. She's super good with computers and is a bit of a "hacker chick." Jarvis hires her to be the Chief Technology Officer and vice president of the company. Piper had a secret crush on Jarvis, and in Season 3, they become a couple.

Bowie Sherman

  • Harrison Houde plays Bowie Sherman. He's Jarvis's best friend and also works at the company. Bowie often has strange ideas, which can lead to funny problems. Even with his odd ideas, everyone sees him as a lovable friend. Jarvis even put him in charge of the Joke and Prank Division!

Geneva Hayes

  • Sydney Scotia plays Geneva Hayes. She's a pretty girl who works as the receptionist and Jarvis's assistant. She might seem a little bit silly sometimes. But Geneva has some surprising hidden talents, like solving a puzzle cube super fast!

Aster Vanderberg

  • Travis Turner plays Aster Vanderberg. He's very creative, confident, and the most fashionable person at school. Aster calls himself the "King of Swag" and is the company's Chief Design Officer. He knows about Piper's secret crush on Jarvis and promises to keep it a secret. Aster also enjoys making jokes about how everyone else dresses.

Malcolm "Knox" Knoxford III

  • Dylan Playfair plays Malcolm "Knox" Knoxford III. He's an amateur daredevil who loves extreme sports. Knox isn't the smartest, but he's hired as the product and safety tester. He's often the "human crash test dummy" for new toys. He really likes a clothing brand called "Epic Thunder."

Candace Wheeler and Mrs. Bubkes

  • Ellie Harvie plays Candace Wheeler. She was the previous owner of Knickknack Toys. Candace didn't want to give Jarvis money after the toy accident, so the company was given to him instead. She often doubts Jarvis can run the company, but he always proves her wrong.
  • Mrs. Bubkes is actually Candace in disguise! She pretends to be an old janitor from a made-up country called Meeskatania. Candace uses this disguise to secretly watch Jarvis and try to get her company back. She often tries to mess up Jarvis's plans, but it never works.

P. Everett Knickknack

  • Russell Roberts plays P. Everett Knickknack. He's the original owner of Knickknack Toys, going all the way back to 1943. He just shows up one day, and everyone wonders if he's real or a trick. He and his cartoon version often say words that start with 'P' as a running joke.

Mmmboing

  • Mmmboing is a rubber bouncing ball that Bowie created in the very first episode. It hasn't stopped bouncing since! Mmmboing is a funny running gag and appears in almost every episode.

Mr. Gournisht

  • Nils Hognestad plays Mr. Gournisht. He's a character who appears in a few episodes. He's from Meeskatania and speaks both his language and English. Mr. Gournisht is very fond of Mrs. Bubkes.
